BMS was founded in 2015 by Maria Alejandra Cajamarca, a Colombian designer and entrepreneur whose goal is to create a lifestyle brand that is inspired by modern women. She believes that versatility and comfort are essential in any wardrobe, and her designs reflect that ethos.

The name BAHÍA MARÍA refers to the bay where Maria Alejandra's first name originates. It is a place of constant convergence, which is also how she sees her own work as an entrepreneur: constantly meeting new people, exploring new places, and working with others to create something new.
